Community Empowerment is one of the three mission areas JIFE Foundation names, and “self-sustaining communities” is the first outcome its vision sets out.
In practice it runs alongside everything else the foundation does in Irepodun Local Government Area, Kwara State: the gatherings, the distributions, and the meetings with local leadership that every programme depends on. The 2024 cashew seedling programme was launched at a community event there.
Work of this kind depends on people and organisations already rooted in the same places.
